1955 Ford Crown Victoria

Stage Two

This car is now getting a Thunderbolt hood scoop installed. Another hood was sourced by the owner to preserve the original unmolested hood.

The scoop is about 5” too long to fit so the front of the scoop will be modified to fit. After cutting off the front, urethane foam is sanded to the desired contour for a form for the new fibreglass shape.

Studmounts are added to the inside of the scoop. This scoop will be bolted on to the hood when finished.

Because this hood is from a ’56 the holes are different than a ‘55 and the extra ones are welded closed.  The hole opening is cut for the functional scoop.
