Here are some pictures of the car almost finished. Interior needs to be installed.
The console was mocked up with cardboard to get the rough shape. It was then made out of mdf and fiberglass.
The
arm rests were fabricated out of steel and fiberglass. They were
designed to clip on to a mounting plate so that no bolts are visible.
The shape is formed using urethane foam over which the 'glass will be applied.
After fiberglassing, filler, primer and lots of sanding the arm rests are now ready to be painted with the brandywine candy.
A
filler panel was made to finish off the front of the trunk. The Belair
script was cut out of chrome mylar, an airbrushed black drop shadow was
added, then all clear coated.
