This Nova is getting a new front frame clip from TCI. A four link with coil overs will be installed in the rear as well as mini tubs.
The firewall is smoothed out and ready for primer.
The next series of pictures shows the installation of the mini tubs from Detroit Speed.
The new inner wheel housings are 2.5" deeper than the originals.
A piece of the frame was sectioned out to make room for the tubs. A filler panel was cut and welded back in to restore strength.
This photo shows the finished frame section.
The new tubs are reasdy to be installed at this point.
This
kit is an excellent product. All parts fit properly and the install was
quite easy with the supplied paper templates to mark all cutting.
With this mini tub kit, a tire size up 315mm wide will fit with the correct offset on the wheels.
Some further sand blasting was needed underneath.
The bottom of the car is primed and ready for paint.
