The
bottom is painted with base/clear. The color is the same as the light
silver on the body. The suspension components are painted charcoal.
The
door/fender gaps are adjusted by welding a 1/8" rod to the rear edge of
the front fender. The extra metal is then ground to form a uniform gap.
The car is now dry fitted with all gaps, panels and trim aligned.
The
red stripe area is painted. The base coat is protected with 2 coats of
clear which will be wet sanded and then the stripe is masked out.
