This car came to Cosmic Color with extensive modifications already done — chopped roof, frenched headlights, rear rollpan, etc. It had been painted eighteen years prior and was in need of cosmetic freshening up.

The customer wanted the car repainted the same color but with the addition of ghost flames on the front. After some consultation it was agreed that monochromatic flames would be preferred. These would be more visible than ghost flames up close but still quite subtle when viewed from a distance.

Two layers of flames were painted on the car, the background layer was painted slightly darker than the car color and the front layer was painted slightly lighter. The flames were pinstriped to give them more “life”.
