This project was a change from doing cars and trucks. We are restoring this sled to as close as possible original condition.
The right running board is smashed in and needs to be repaired. The rolled edge was cut off, then the flat portion was straightened. A new aluminum tube was welded in.
The dash cowl was repaired using fiberglass filler and steel.
Some fiberglass work was required to repair hood damage.
The hood is ready for paint. One coat of clear was applied after the black basecoat and allowed to cure. Then the decals were applied and after 24 hours 4 coats of clear was applied to the hood.
The sled is finish assembled. A new neat cover was made and installed.
