Citroen 2CV's were built in France from 1948-1992. The company made over one million of them. This Citroen is getting a complete restoration. The picture here was taken as a pattern for the stripes. The original stripes are decals, the new stripes will be painted.
All paint has been removed and some filler applied.
There is some areas of rust that need to be cut out and replaced with new metal.
The
stripes were recreated on a computer using the source photo as a guide
and then cut out with a vinyl cutter. The silver paint has been sprayed
and now the mask applied.
After the black was applied, it is then masked out in preparation for the maroon color.
This photo shows the doors painted. They still need to be wet sanded and polished.
The owner stopped by to show the completed car. It is very different and unique to see one of these in Canada.
